Ty Rarick,

TSR Consulting

I am a product designer and business development professional with twenty years of experience designing products and strategies within enterprise, corporate and consumer retail businesses as a consultant, corporate design manager and start-up business owner. My strengths lie in my passion, collaborative nature and balanced approach in the context of design and business.

I spent the first half of my career honing my skills in new product development and design management within large corporations at Matsushita-Panasonic and Compaq Computer Corporation, now HP. While at Compaq I managed product design, user experience and design research for the global Enterprise Solutions and Services Group helping to establish the company’s industry leading position.

For the last decade I have been working within two small businesses in highly entrepreneurial leadership roles building brands and products that have been successful within Fortune 500 retailers and channels. As a managing partner with Nuo I applied my creative expertise and 360 degree business perspective resulting in significant sales growth during an economic recession. Prior to Nuo, I was the Director of Product Development and Strategy at Pacific Design where I was a key driver in transforming the company from an OEM-based model to an industry leading consumer brand positioned within Fortune 5000 corporations and major U.S. retailers.

I speak about design and business with organizations and universities including the Savannah College of Art & Design, Ohio State University, University of Houston, and the University of Texas McCombs School of Business. My work has been recognized with numerous patents and industry awards including IDEA-BusinessWeek, iF Hannover and CES Innovations.
